I was on my way to lunch with my workmates when my shoes literally fell apart. It's a good thing I work near a mall coz I had to walk barefoot (yes, really) to shop for a replacement.
It was a great experience walking barefoot at a mall. I realized that no one really cares how I look like. I didn't catch anyone staring at my feet (maybe I just didn't notice). It's true when they said: "Nobody's really watching you--they're too busy minding their own business."
Since I don't want to take too long walking around barefooted, the first and only store I went to was Charles and Keith. Their shoes are wide-feet friendly and they always have a wide variety of colors and styles to choose from.
As soon as I entered the store, I couldn't believe what I saw: the kind of flat shoes I've been looking for.

It looks too tan in the website photo. But here's how it really looks like.

thanks for sharing this post. I have a very sensitive feet. Paltos dito, paltos doon :( I'll buy my pair of work flats at Charles and Keith pag magtratrabaho na ko :)
Hey Kath, these aren't the most comfortable flats for me though, because of my very wide feet. But 3 days of breaking in with a pair of very thick socks made them very "walkable"
Oh no, sorry to hear that your shoes broke! Yeah, lucky you were in the mall already.
Those shows are very nice - seen them around and being quite popular here.
I would think so too. Charles & Keith has an SG online shop, we don't... :(
Oh these are adorable. More sophisticated than plain ballet flats, and they look so comfortable!
I liiike! The color - light tan - is very versatile and sophisticated. Also, I like how it gives an illusion of elongated legs when you wear shoes in this color ;) Definitely a must-have color. Great choice Rae!

wow walking bare foot is no fun.
Love the design though, not to casual and not to sophisticated. it can swing both ways.
I bought 2 pairs of flats from Charles and Keith before and they were the most uncomfy shoes I've ever had. Didn't buy flats from them since.
I hate the breaking in phase. Good thing you have enough patience for that.
